Winter has finally arrived I think with a very cold morning, so a big thank you to all the runners and especially the race marshals and helpers. This month’s race winner was Cannon Events Josh Webster with a time of 21:35, only 12 seconds off his course PB. Second place went to David Smurawa in 22:52 on his first Holmebrook run, hope to see you again David. Third place went to our ladies winner Heidi Josephs of Cannons in 22:53 just ahead of fellow Cannons member Matt Prior 23:21. Second place female was NDRC’s Johanna Myers 25:27 with another Cannon Events runner Emma Rhodes in third 26:10.
Several men set improved times with trophies for most improved going to Joseph Gullett 26:07, John Gullett 23:38 and Charlie Rogers 25:32. Honourable mentions go to Race Winner Josh plus Matt Prior who both set course PB’s.
In the 1500m it was newcomer Jack Cain our race winner in 6:55 followed by Matlock AC’s Sophie Archer 7:43 with another newcomer James Yates taking third place in 7:54. Third male was Cannon Events Dylan Josephs 8:37. Two more Cannon Events finished second and third female with Olivia Rhodes 8:10 and Holly Rogers 8:45.
This was our final Holmebrook event of 2023 so a big thanks to everyone who has supported us in our first year at Holmebrook Valley Park.
