This is a monthly 5k and 1500mts that is normally held on the last Sunday of the month taking place in the picturesque Holmebrook Valley Park, Water Meadow Lane, Newbold S41 8XP.
Entry fees are £5.00 for 16 years + and £3.00 for 1 -15 years. For the one entry fee you can run one or both events. Children from 7 years of age can run 5k with an adult.
Start times are 10.00am for the 1500mts and 10.15am for the 5k.

Free parking is available at two car parks, the main one is at the pavilion accessed from Water Meadow Lane with a smaller one accessed from Linacre Road. Both car parks are a short walk to the race start which is by the lake at the bottom end of the park.
Race HQ will be near to the Cafe at the rear of the Pavilion where you can register on the day from 9:30 or collect race numbers for those who have entered online. Please come ready to run, there are toilets but changing facilities will not be available.
The 5k course will start/finish on the trail by the lake. Run/walk out over the bridge along the donkey path towards Newbold Road. Just before the underpass turn left and cross the bridge. Follow the trail along the lower path back to the lake then go round the lake and complete a second lap.
The 1500m course is just over 2 laps of the lake so participants remain in full view at all times. A medal is awarded to all those who complete the 1500m.

After each run the top three most improved male and female, compared with recent performance, will be presented with a trophy to be held until the next race the following month. This is for both the 5k and the 1500m. To be eligible for a trophy you must have completed at least 3 races and improved your time compared with recent performances.
