Daniel Bennett (CERC) was today’s 5k winner in 20:19 just 3 seconds off his course PB. Second overall and first female was Sale Harrier Lucy Cooke in 20:46 with Peter Stancill (NDRC) third (second male) in 21:28. Third male was Josh Webster (CERC) in 22:16.
Heidi Josephs (CERC) was second female in 23:11 with Rebecca Pickering (NDRC) 11 seconds behind in 23:22.
Trophies were presented to three who improved on their best times at Holmebrook. Stephen Bennett improved his time by over 3 minutes finishing in 30:35. Mark Murphy was 58 seconds quicker with 23:56 and Allison Wilbourne ran 30:21 an 18 second improvement.
In the 1500m it was debutant Sharif Khan first in a new course record of 5:43, shattering the previous best of 6:45 set by Charlie Rogers in June 2023. Second was Sophie Archer in 7:35, 8 seconds off her best from last year. Alexander Cooke was third in 7:47.
