Great to see everyone at Holmebrook Valley Park, thanks to all runners and helpers for supporting our event and we managed to beat the rain.
Today’s winner was Nick Booker from Steel City Striders in 19:50 with second place joint Cannon Events and Wingerworth Wobblers runner Jason Lynam 19:58 and third James Bradbury 21:22.
Most improved male this month was tied between North Derbyshire’s Martin Palmieri and Cannon Events Josh Webster, both beating their previous best by 28 seconds. Jason Lynam was third most improved beating his best by 18 seconds but spare a thought for Cannon Events Mike Rogers who missed out on a trophy by 3 seconds although he still managed a course record of 23:53.
Emma Rhodes, Cannon Events, finished first female for the second month running in 26:22 followed by fellow club member Maria Lynam 27:10 with Sarah Sullivan third in 28:54. Maria also collected a trophy to keep for the month as the only female to post an improved time.
It was a close finish in the 1500m with Callum Sullivan coming home first in 6;47 with Charlie Rogers just 5 seconds behind and Toby Collard another 6 seconds behind, great competition between the three of them.
Sophie Archer was first junior female 7:27, followed by Olivia Rhodes 8:03 and Lilly Rogers 8:04. Sophie also collected a trophy as the most improved beating her previous best by just 2 seconds.
