Thank you to everyone who turned up at Holmebrook Valley Park, both runners and helpers, especially helpers we couldn’t hold the event without you.
In the 5k our race winners were both race debutants, David Brassington from Wirksworth RC was first in 19:49 and first female was Heidi Josephs, Cannon Events RC in 23:07. It was a bit muddy underfoot in places so the majority of times were a bit down. Let’s hope the course has dried out for next month on Sunday 28 May.
The 1500m had a better turn out this month and also produced two debutants as the winners. Overall winner was Sophie Archer in 7:45 with first male Elliot Avery in 7:54.
The trophy presentation was introduced this month with Kelly Matkin, Matt Prior and Katrina Prior all taking home a trophy for improving their times in the 5k. Holly Rogers, Olivia Rhodes and Lilly Rogers also took home a trophy for their times in the 1500m.
